Sales Representative, New Business
Location: Austin, TX

Environmental Systems Corporation, a leading company providing environmental software solutions to the electric power generation market is searching for a talented Sales Representative.

Responsibilities:

Position Overview: The Sales Executive, New Business is primarily an inside sales position (not entry level). The position’s focus is on prospecting and developing new customers. The individual will be responsible for identifying and qualifying prospects for a variety of ESC products and services, as well as taking certain products and service opportunities from initiation to close. The overall goal is to expand the ESC customer base and generate incremental revenue.

Position Details: Working from both an assigned list of prospects, as well as Lead Generation, the Account Executive, New Business will attempt to identify needs and market the corresponding ESC product or service; uncover decision makers, influencers, budget and competition in an effort to qualify prospects, expand ESC’s customer base, and generate revenue. Success will be measured based on activity levels, opportunities identified, new customers created, and revenue.  The position requires substantial contact levels via telephone and e-mail. Some travel to prospect sites may be required. Extensive use of our Sales Force CRM system for capturing information and opportunities is required. Attendance at industry events, trade shows, etc. may also be required.

Requirements:

Experience: two or more years B to B sales, preferably software, hardware, office equipment, or technical services. Must have quota bearing and commission based sales experience. Familiarity with WebEx, GoToMeeting or other web based communication tools for remote demonstration preferred.  Telephone sales experience in a transaction oriented environment is essential. Previous use of SalesForce a plus and strong Microsoft Office Suite skills necessary.
