We have almost wrapped up the first quarter of 2011, and it has been an exciting start to this expectedly busy year. By now, most of you are aware that the Greenhouse Gas Reporting deadline has been extended until September 30, 2011, but that doesn’t mean that you should halt or slow down your preparations.
In addition to several changes in the industry, ESC is also experiencing a time of exciting changes. As you know, in order to take advantage of a larger technology resources pool, Product Development is now located in Austin, a city known as a software hub. We currently reside in an office campus filled with software companies. Speaking of software companies, two good friends recently left ESC to assume key positions at a software startup company in Nashville, Tennessee. Adam Engle assumed the position of COO while Dallas Dover is a Project Manager leading their product development. They are taking on a new challenge of developing teachers’ iPad applications for the educational industry. Great career moves for both of them. While it is sad to see two friends go, it is rewarding to be a part of their rapid career growth. In comparison, I recently noted to Mark Shell that he and I are beginning our fourth decade with ESC and Jeff Rabensteine is not far behind.
