Mercury (Hg) Regulations Workshop

This workshop is geared toward Environmental Managers who are responsible for reporting Mercury (Hg) emissions to their state agency and reporting staff members. In order for participants to fully benefit from this workshop, a basic knowledge of CEMS reporting is required. The workshop focuses on defining how facilities are required to report Hg emissions including reporting formats for Hg CEMS, Sorbent Traps and Emissions Factor Calculations. Also included are discussions on reporting fundamentals such as emission equations and averaging criteria, validity requirements, operating requirements and conditions, missing data approaches, certification and QA/QC data formats.

Using ECMPS Workshop
March 4, 2009 (Knoxville, TN)
Geared toward Data QA Personnel, Plant Engineers, Environmental Coordinators and Reporting Personnel, this workshop reviews the XML schema and the ECMPS Client Tool in order to acquire the skills necessary to successfully submit an XML report to EPA. In order for participants to fully benefit from this class, an understanding of SQL table structures and ESC|StackVision data collection/storage procedures is necessary. This course includes hands-on exercises designed to educate attendees on troubleshooting ECMPS errors. With these interactive exercises, participants will gain the ability to identify and resolve errors that may occur when making submissions via the Emissions Collection and Monitoring Plan System (ECMPS). The Reporting Instructions provided by EPA have been incorporated into a manual to eliminate the need to search in multiple places for an error resolution. In 2009, ESC|University is dedicated to providing customers the tools needed to become fluent with the ECMPS Client Tool.

This workshop is geared toward CEMS Technicians performing Quality Assurance activities and Environmental Reporting Personnel. Participants must have an understanding of plant/site certification events and procedures to fully benefit from this course. In this workshop, attendees will learn how to utilize ESC|StackVision to complete required Data QA and CEMS Certification procedures. This two-day workshop covers the theory of Certification/On-going Test Events and Quality Assurance procedures required for 40 CFR 75 quarterly reporting, discussions on linearity, RATA, Flow-to-Load, 7-Day Calibration Error/Drift Test, cycle time response tests, daily calibrations, formula verification and missing data algorithms.
