Because the Fall 2009 User Group is in November, the majority of these classes will be offered in San Antonio, TX in the days surrounding User Group. ESC Regulatory Updates Webinar

This webinar will discuss updates and changes in EPA regulations and programs, and will also address how ESC software and services will handle these updates and changes.

Part 75 Regulations Class
November 7-8, 2009 (San Antonio, TX)
This two-day course provides a better understanding of the Part 75 regulations behind specific responsibilities. Through this class, participants will become familiar with terms and acronyms, become comfortable with finding various sections in the rule, and understand the reasoning behind testing requirements and associated performance specifications.
*Should you decide to breakdown the four-day Roadmap to Reporting Using ESC|StackVision and the ECMPS Client Tool Class into individual courses, Part 75 Regulations Class will be presented on the first and second days.

Roadmap to Reporting Using ESC|StackVision and the ECMPS Client Tool
November 7-9 and 13, 2009 (San Antonio, TX)
Designed for Reporting Personnel, Plant Managers and Corporate Environmental staff, this four-day course provides a better understanding of the entire reporting process and demonstrates how ESC|StackVision can be used to decrease reporting frustrations. The first two days of this class will be devoted to Part 75 regulations during which participants will become familiar with terms and acronyms, get comfortable with finding various sections in the rule, and understand the reasoning behind testing requirements and associated performance specifications. Featuring the QuickStart to ESC|StackVision Class, the third day will introduce the user to key StackVision features, including certification data entry, the new DataLab and CalLab, and the easy-to-navigate CEMScape. On the final day, we will offer the Using ECMPS workshop, allowing participants the opportunity to apply the information learned during the first two days of the course. Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to clean up a monitoring plan, import and export files from ECMPS and StackVision, evaluate QA and Emissions data, and resolve the errors in StackVision.
*Roadmap to Reporting is a combination of three courses: Part 75 Regulations Class (2 days), QuickStart to ESC|StackVision Class (1 day), and Using ECMPS Workshop (1 day). Although we encourage attendees to register for the comprehensive four-day class, it can be split up and booked individually by course.

Data QA/Certification with ESC|StackVision Workshop
November 8-9, 2009 (San Antonio, TX)
This workshop is geared toward CEMS Technicians performing Quality Assurance activities and Environmental Reporting Personnel. Participants must have an understanding of plant/site certification events and procedures to fully benefit from this course. In this workshop, attendees will learn how to utilize ESC|StackVision to complete required Data QA and CEMS Certification procedures. This two-day workshop covers the theory of Certification/On-going Test Events and Quality Assurance procedures required for 40 CFR 75 quarterly reporting, discussions on linearity, RATA, Flow-to-Load, 7-Day Calibration Error/Drift Test, cycle time response tests, daily calibrations, formula verification and missing data algorithms.

Data Management and SQL Database Administration for ESC|StackVision Class

As ESC continues to utilize Microsoft's® SQL Server database, the need to understand more advanced topics of database administration is required. Designed for individuals who have knowledge of basic IT system administrative tasks, this class will familiarize participants with the relationship between SQL Server and ESC|StackVision, and will discuss the utilities provided in SQL Server Management Studio for troubleshooting and preventing common database issues. Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Mandatory Rule Workshop
November 13, 2009 (San Antonio, TX)
This workshop is geared toward Environmental Management and Reporting staff members who will be responsible for reporting under the EPA Mandatory Reporting Rule and will cover the most recent developments concerning GHG policy, including all provisions incorporated into the EPA Mandatory Reporting Rule which will require large sources throughout the United States to report their GHG emissions. Special attention will be given to using ESC|StackVision to comply with this rule, including the use of additional software capabilities designed to accommodate necessary measurements and specific calculations.

Using ECMPS Workshop
November 13, 2009 (San Antonio, TX)
Geared toward Data QA Personnel, Plant Engineers, Environmental Coordinators and Reporting Personnel, this workshop reviews the XML schema and the ECMPS Client Tool in order to acquire the skills necessary to successfully submit an XML report to EPA. In order for participants to fully benefit from this class, an understanding of SQL table structures and ESC|StackVision data collection/storage procedures is necessary. This course includes hands-on exercises designed to educate attendees on troubleshooting ECMPS errors. With these interactive exercises, participants will gain the ability to identify and resolve errors that may occur when making submissions via the Emissions Collection and Monitoring Plan System (ECMPS). The Reporting Instructions provided by EPA have been incorporated into a manual to eliminate the need to search in multiple places for an error resolution. In 2009, ESC|University is dedicated to providing customers the tools needed to become fluent with the ECMPS Client Tool.

System Configuration with ESC|StackStudio Workshop

In order to benefit fully from this workshop, ESC suggests that participants have previous DAS management experience. Geared toward Environmental Engineers and CEMS Technicians, this workshop is designed to introduce users to the next generation of system configuration tools available in ESC|StackStudio. Attendees will gain working knowledge of the SQL server-based architecture of StackStudio while learning how to make significant edits to a StackVision configuration. In addition to identifying the steps necessary for completing common configuration changes and updates, this course will demonstrate how StackStudio can be used for validation and error-checking tasks as well as monitoring plan maintenance.

CEMS New User with ESC|StackVision Class

This class is geared toward I&C Technicians, Plant Engineers, Environmental Coordinators and Reporting Personnel and will focus on the basic features of the ESC|StackVision software. This two-day course is specifically paced for a new user. Participants will receive hands-on experience with the StackVision software and have ample time to cover the entire DAS and associated tasks.
